UEH Hosts Closing Ceremony for the Training Program on "Operational Knowledge for the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City"

On March 8, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) held the Closing Ceremony for the Training Program on "Operational Knowledge for the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City." This event marked a significant strategic milestone in preparing high-quality human resources for the establishment and operation of the Vietnam International Financial Center.

The Closing Ceremony took place solemnly at Room B1-205, Campus B – UEH

The training program on "Operational Knowledge for the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City" was launched on the basis of a Cooperation Agreement signed between the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) and UEH in October 2025, at the request of the Executive Agency of the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City (VIFC-HCMC), with the objective of preparing high-quality human resources for VIFC-HCMC during its formative and developmental phase.

Over the course of eight sessions covering eight specialized modules, the training program equipped participants with foundational knowledge of international financial markets and capital markets, along with practical insights into the operational and developmental models of international financial centers, as well as content relating to international connectivity and communications management for a financial center.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of the Executive Agency of the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City (VIFC-HCMC) was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huan – Vice Chairman of VIFC-HCMC.

Representing UEH were: Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen – Rector of UEH College of Business; Dr. Thai Kim Phung – Interim Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships; MSc. Nguyen Hoang Son – Deputy Head of the Department of Training; along with the program's instructors and 48 participants.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai – Vice President of UEH – extended his congratulations to the participants who had completed the program and affirmed: "With its orientation toward sustainable development and international integration, UEH is committed not only to academic training and research, but also to fulfilling its mission of partnering with regulatory authorities, enterprises, and economic organizations amid the profound transformation of the global economy.

UEH firmly believes that the knowledge and experience shared throughout this program will contribute to building a workforce equipped with professional competence, governance-oriented thinking, and an international vision – a workforce ready to participate in the establishment and operation of the Vietnam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City in the period ahead."

Following a rigorous and dedicated learning process, all 48 participants fulfilled the program requirements and qualified to receive completion certificates issued by UEH. This outcome is a commendable achievement, reflecting the earnest commitment, sense of responsibility, and sustained effort of all participants.
