The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) continues to record an effective week of work with a series of impressive international publications, reflecting its increasingly expanding research capacity and clear interdisciplinary orientation. The papers published last week show that UEH is leveraging its strengths in connecting economics, management, technology, the environment, and social sciences to address contemporary real-world issues.

Approaching Global Hot Topics Through the Lens of the Vietnamese Context
From an academic perspective, the researchers have effectively applied and developed several core international theoretical frameworks such as reflexive governance, dynamic capabilities theory, and the theory of planned behaviour. Notably, the studies delve into urgent topics such as:
- Corporate Finance & Climate Policy: Assessing the impact of climate policy uncertainty on firms’ capital structures, offering new perspectives on green finance and risk governance.
- Technology & Circular Economy: Clarifying the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and information technology capability in enhancing sustainable performance, promoting smart industry and circular economy models.
- Society & University Governance: Investigating the university welfare model applied at UEH, advancing sustainable tourism, and exploring gastronomic tourism behavior in transitional economies.
Affirming Empirical Strength with Modern Econometric Models
UEH’s academic strength continues to be demonstrated through diverse and rigorous methodologies:
- Advanced econometric models: Applying panel data, fixed effects (FE), and Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) approaches to address endogeneity issues and enhance the reliability of research results.
- Multi-criteria analysis & applied techniques: Implementing the Fuzzy DEMATEL model combined with scale development and validation, and building complex behavioral models.
This approach affirms comprehensive research capacity: ensuring international academic standards while increasing practical value for businesses and policymakers.
Creating Value for the Academic Community and Practice
Overall, the publications released this week continue to reinforce UEH’s position as a leading interdisciplinary research hub. The University continuously creates knowledge of value for the international scientific community, while also making practical contributions to innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development in an increasingly volatile global context.
